September 3rd, 2019, Kuala Lumpur – The 3 Nation Charity Ride event comes back to Malaysia! The annual 3 Nation Charity Ride will be organised in the town of Ipoh Perak from 27th to 29th September 2019 at Casuarina @ Meru Hotel. Now in its 26th year, the event remains the longest running and one of the biggest charity gathering of Super Bikers in the South East Asian region motoring calendar in both Malaysia and Thailand’s Book of Records.
The "3-Nation Charity Ride" has been officially organized annually since 1994. This is one of the biggest charity event on the regional biking calendar and is participated by thousands of big capacity motorcycles and bikers from Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore and other countries around the Asian region. This yearly event is held to raise funds for charity and to bring bikers from across the borders together.
The 3-Nation Charity Ride has also set a national record and was listed in the Malaysian Book of Records for the Largest Superbike Gathering in Ipoh for 2002. Over the years, the event has cumulatively raised more than RM2 Million which have been distributed to charity homes identified by the host country and organizer. Last year, the event saw over 1000 Bikers gather in Betong, Thailand for a great cause.
The 3 Nation Charity Ride event has been rolling from strength to strength since 1994 and is organized annually on rotation by one of four founding clubs, which are Super Biker Club Malaysia, Penang Motor Sports Club, Team 27 Singapore and Team Hanuman Thailand.
This year, the event comes to Malaysia, organized by the Super Bikers Club Malaysia (SBCM). It will be held in the state of Perak from 27th to 29th September 2019, with Casuarina @ Meru as the official event hotel and Kratos Motorsports as the main event partner bringing their exciting brands to the event.
“We hope to raise more funds for this year’s panel of charities”, said Super Bikers Club Malaysia President, Che Wan Mohamed Azuar.
Azuar added that, “As an event that moves around the region, many of the new generation bikers and motorcycle club groups around Malaysia might not realize the rich, history and the good cause of this event. It is a great way to be part of the biggest and longest charity biking event and to network with various bikers and other clubs from the region.”
For the first time in 25 years, the event introduces and opens up to other bikers who can choose to participate in just the Dayride Convoy, from the official hotel venue to scenic Gua Tempurung on Saturday 28th September 2019. Open to all genders, The Distinguished Gentleman's Ride was founded in 2012 by Mark Hawwa in Sydney, Australia, and is centered around classic and vintage styled motorcycles. While the event encompasses classic and vintage style, it also welcomes niche custom motorcycle styles such as cafe racers, choppers, scramblers, and more.
The ride provides an outline of dress and behavior, suggesting riders wear dapper clothing, silk vests, tweed suits and behave courteously, donning not only classic style, but classic manners. The ride carries no entry fee, however, some rides require minimum donation amounts to join. All riders are encouraged to raise funds for prostate cancer research and men's mental health programs on behalf of charity partner, the Movember Foundation.
